ARTERY organises the workshop “Autonomy and shared autonomy in endoluminal approaches for soft surgical robots” in the framework of the Hamlyn Symposium on Medical Robotics
On June 29th, 2022 together with Alice Segato, Mouloud Ourak, Elena De Momi, Arianna Menciassi, Emmanuel Vander Poorten, Emiliano Votta, Arnau Garriga Casanovas and Enrico Franco, we are organizing a workshop entitled: “Autonomy and shared autonomy in endoluminal approaches for soft surgical robots” in the 14th Hamlyn Symposium on Medical Robotics, that will be held from 26th – 29th June 2022 at the Royal Geographical Society, in London.
It would be a nice opportunity to highlight the latest advances in embedding autonomy and shared autonomy in robotic approaches to endoluminal surgery and vascular interventions. Furthermore, this workshop aims to provide an overview of the main technical challenges specific to soft robotics for endoscopy and endoluminal surgery and to discuss the latest solutions to address unmet needs. Aside from a unique Time-up of key researchers in this field, the workshop foresees an interactive poster session and round tables where end-users offer their views on the needs and challenges in this field.
